DENVER(CBSLA.com) Matt Kemp was taken out of the game in the first inning after crashing into the wall while attempting to catch a deep fly ball to center field off of Rockies shortstop Josh Rutledge.

Kemp refused to come out of the game regardless of laying on the ground for five minutes and bleeding from his chin.

Then the next hitter, Josh Pacheco, hit a blooper to center field forcing Kemp to make another tough play by diving forward towards the ball.

Dodgers skipper Don Mattingly was hesitant to keep Kemp in after crashing into the wall, but this time Mattingly did not think twice to take him out.

Juan Rivera replaced Kemp in the lineup and Shane Victorino shifted over to center field.

Kemp will miss at least one game before his return.

Kemp also crashed into the wall yesterday ,Monday, attempting to catch another deep fly ball off Tyler Colvin in the 8th inning. Dodgers lost that game 10-0.

Rockies have scored four 4 runs in the first inning and are up 4-0. You can watch the game live on KCAL 9!
