LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An autopsy was scheduled Monday for a man who was killed in Inglewood Sunday morning.
Police found Alan Harris, 45, shot to death in the 300 block of East Buckthorn Street.
His wife said Harris was out late Saturday night and playing pool at an Inglewood bar.
Investigators were trying to find out why someone shot him blocks away from where someone made a 911 call.
Police believe the call could be related to the murder.
His wife is trying to come to grips with her loss.
“I don’t want anyone to think this was gang-related. This was just vicious and wrong for somebody to just take my husband because we were new to the community and they didn’t know him,” said Harris’ wife.
The couple has two children.
