PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — A fixed wing, single-engine plane crashed in Pacoima near Whiteman Airport Saturday narrowly missing several people on the ground.
Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said the crash in the 10800 block of North San Fernando Road caused a subsequent fuel spill.
It was reported at 11:55 a.m. Saturday.
According to Scott, two people on board the plane were injured.
One had serious injuries while the second was listed in fair condition at a local hospital. No one on the ground was hurt.
