2 Missing North Hollywood Siblings Found Safe And Sound

UPDATE 9:30 PM Friday: The missing girls have been found safe and sound. They reportedly ran away because of strict house rules implemented by their mother.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police in North Hollywood Friday were searching for two children who they say may have run away from home.

A news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department said the half-sisters were last seen about 8 a.m. Thursday at Sun Valley Middle School.

The children were identified as 10-year-old Michelle Herrera and 13-year-old Bianey Lagunas.

Both girls are 4-feet-six-inches tall and were last seen wearing school uniforms consisting of a white shirt, blue pants and black shoes, police said.

Herrera weighs approximately 83 pounds with a dark complexion. Lagunas weighs approximately 128 pounds with a light complexion.

Anyone with more information as to the whereabouts of the children is asked to dial 911 or contact the North Hollywood police station (818) 623-4031.
