PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A mother bear and her two cubs have been spotted yet again in a Pasadena neighborhood, eating out of garbage cans.
The three bears were seen about 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of New York Drive going from yard to yard, KNX 1070’s Vytas Safronikas reports.
The weather has brought the bears back out of the hills, said Ricki Whitman with the Pasadena Humane Society.
“One of the reasons why they’re coming down now is that it’s been really hot. They’re looking for food and water,” Whitman said. “And the fruit on the fruit trees, and grapes on the grapevines are very tempting for them.”
She says anyone encountering a bear should back off without making sudden movements.
