LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Pornographic videos were discovered under the desk of a Los Angeles Department of Transportation dispatch clerk, prompting an administrative investigation.
Bruce Gillman, spokesman for the Department of Transportation, confirmed that a clerk is suspected of using a department computer to order the materials and receiving them at his work address, according to the Los Angeles Times. The clerk, who was not identified, is now under administrative investigation for possible misuse of government property.
The inquiry involves at least one box containing multiple videos, Gillman told the Times. Some of the videos were “general viewership” movies, such as westerns and comedies.
The incident is the department’s second pornography-related incident in two years. A traffic officer was fired and another disciplined after the two men allegedly participated in the April 2011 filming of a pornographic video while wearing city uniforms and using a Department of Transportation vehicle.
