LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A new report shows California added the most new construction jobs of any state in the nation last year.

The Associated General Contractors of America analyzed federal data from the year that ended in July and found that California construction bosses added 27,300 jobs last year.

That’s a 5 percent increase from the previous year.

Association officials say the slowly recovering economy and housing market are behind the increase.
