Sketches Released Of Suspects Wanted For Attempted Kidnap Of Teen Girls

SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department has released sketches of a suspect, or suspects, wanted for the attempted kidnapping of two teen girls in Azusa.

The two attempted abductions and sketches are similar enough that authorities believe they are looking for one man.

Officials said they were releasing the sketches in the hopes someone in the public can identify the suspect.

Both attempted abductions  occurred within a mile of one another, said authorities. Both of the intended targets were young Latinas aged 14 and 16.

The suspect is described as a Latin male, 20s to 30s, but one of the suspects reportedly had short hair, the other suspect was described with longer hair.

Each suspect was seen driving a small, white tw0-door pick up truck, possibly a Nissan Frontier. (One of the teens described there being a black box in the back.)

One attempted abduction took place around 1 p.m. on a Thursday, the other at 2:20 p.m. on a Saturday.

In both cases, officials say the suspect drove up alongside the victim and attempted to grab them.
