BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A United States postal worker was arrested Friday for allegedly conducting a narcotics transaction while on duty, authorities said.

Burbank police said in a statement that the incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Friday morning near 600 North Whitnall Highway.

The suspect was identified by police as 47-year-old Craig Godshall.

According to authorities, narcotics officers were conducting an investigation into the sales of prescription drugs at the time of Godshall's arrest.

"Investigators observed an individual conduct what appeared to be a narcotics transaction with an on-duty United States postal employee in a marked United States postal vehicle," the statement said.
