VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) — Fierce thunderstorms flooded streets and stranded drivers in Victorville on Friday.
The afternoon mudflow was reported at Amethyst Road and La Mesa Street.
The worst flooding took place just south of Palmdale Road, just west of the 15 Freeway.
At the height of the evening rush-hour, commuters had to deal with standing water in many intersections.
CBS2′s Gil Leyvas, who was over the scene, says the flash flooding caused some damage to classrooms at Morgan-Kincaid Preparatory School located at the corner of Luna and Mesa Linda.
No further information was immediately available.
