CALIMESA (CBS) — A bolt of lightning struck a 50-foot tree, sending it plummeting down onto a man in Calimesa Monday.
The incident was reported in the 10300 block of Union Street shortly before 4 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after the tree was knocked over during the lightning strike.
The man was taken to Loma Linda Medical Center to treat moderate injuries. His identity was not given.
