LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A minor earthquake has struck the Santa Monica Bay area.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was recorded at 8:33 a.m. Saturday.
Its epicenter was 10 miles west-northwest of Palos Verdes Estates, 11 miles west-southwest of Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
The quake was felt as far away as Camarillo and Malibu and down the coast to Seal Beach.
It was initially registered with a preliminary and unconfirmed magnitude of 3.5 on the CBS2/KCAL9 seismograph.
No further information was immediately available.
