HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Singer/songwriter Neil Diamond was honored with the 2,475th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday.
“We finally were able to pin him down for a date to dedicate his star. This is one busy man and we are thrilled to honor this legendary performer,” stated Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.
The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. at 1750 N. Vine Street, in front of the Capitol Records building.
Diamond,71, has 16 Top Ten albums and 37 Top Ten singles, most notably “Sweet Caroline,” “Welcome To America,” and “I’m A Believer.”
He has sold more than 125 million records worldwide and won two Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe.
In 2009, Diamond was named MusciCares Person of the Year.
