SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — A Mentone man was sentenced to three years in state prison Wednesday for contacting a 10-year-old girl for sex from his cell phone.

Brian John Ross, 37, admitted to sending lewd texts to random phone numbers until someone responded – a 10-year-old girl, the San Bernardino Sun reported. Ross, who sent the girl a picture of his face and then his genitalia, also sent lewd texts to the girl’s 13-year-old cousin and told both girls he wanted to have sex with them.

Undercover officers arrested Ross in March after he showed up at a restaurant expecting to meet the girls, according to the Sun.

As part of his plea agreement, Ross must also register as a sex offender.
