3 Sought In Pacoima Liquor Store Robbery

PACOIMA (CBS) — Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying three burglary suspects who vandalized a Pacoima liquor store.

According to Los Angeles police, three black men, ranging in age from 17 to 25 years old, broke into Country Cousin Liquor at 13040 Glenoaks Blvd. just after 4 a.m. on Aug. 1.

The suspects, who all wore gloves, hoodies and jeans, used cinder blocks to smash through the roof of the business, Lt. Paul Vernon said.

Once inside, they were captured on surveillance video jumping the counter and stealing cash, cigarettes and liquor.

"Clearly these guys are experienced burglars, but gloves or not, one always leaves something of one self behind at any crime scene," Vernon explained. "The key for police is finding that evidence and making something of it."

One burglar, who can be seen chewing on his hoodie in the video, left the sweatshirt at the crime scene.

"Now we know exactly where to sample for DNA on the hoodie," Vernon said.

Anyone with information on the suspects should call Detective Tim Kohl with the Mission Burglary Unit at (818)838-9977. Anonymous tips can be called into Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
