Burglary Attempt At South Pasadena Office Building Caught On Tape

SOUTH PASADENA (CBS) — Authorities on Saturday continued to search for a man who they say tried to smash the windows of a multi-unit office building in an apparent burglary attempt.

The incident occurred at 5:43 a.m. Friday at a building on Pasadena Avenue in South Pasadena.

Authorities say the man first cased the location with a flashlight and then returned five minutes later with a rock in his gloved hand.

When he failed to break the interior pane of the window with the rock, he attempted to do so by kicking it in, South Pasadena police said in a department statement.

The suspect eventually fled the location in a vehicle.

Police hope someone will be able to identify the suspect. They have posted surveillance video of the incident on YouTube.

Anyone with more information was asked to call the South Pasadena Police Department at (626) 403-7270
