LOS ANGELES (CBS) – “They are trending, twittering, tweeting A.J. Ellis all over the United States. Ah, he’s a nice boy.”

Those are the words of Vin Scully after fans made Ellis a national trend on the social media site, Twitter, per the request of Scully.

Moments after becoming a national trend, Ellis went deep for his second homer of the game.

“Now he’s really got something trending.” Scully said.

Friday night was the first multi-homer game of Ellis’ career.
