SAN JACINTO (CBS) — A taxi cab driver escaped unharmed Friday in what deputies said was a robbery attempt in San Jacinto, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The victim told authorities that he had picked up two men in Hemet and drove them to Evans and Centro streets before one of the men pulled out a gun and aimed it at him.
The incident occurred about 1:41 a.m.
A brief struggle ensued but the victim was able to drive away, authorities said in a statement by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspects were described as two black males with thin builds and shaved heads. They are believed to be in their early 20s.
One was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark-colored shorts and the second was wearing dark jeans and a dark T-shirt.
Anyone with more information was asked to call the San Jacinto station at (951) 654-2702.
