PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Detectives on Friday asked for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of stealing a purse from a Palmdale discount store.

On July 25, 2012, an employee of a 99 Cent Store located at 38360 20th Street East had their purse stolen from the employees’ break room, according to deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Palmdale Station.

After reviewing video surveillance of the break room, the manager of the location watched as the suspect entered the store, walked directly to the break area and removed the victim’s purse from the locker.

No association between the store and the suspect has been established, and Palmdale detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying him.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic Male approximately 20 to 30 years of age. He is wearing a ball cap and black collared shirt in the photograph.

Anyone recognizing the suspect in the attached photo is asked to contact Lieutenant Kennedy of the Palmdale Detective Bureau at (661) 272-2506.

Individuals can also provide information anonymously through the “Crime Stoppers” website, by dialing 800-222-TIPS (8477) or texting the letters TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637).
