Santa Clarita Unveils ‘Art2Go’ Vending Machine

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — The city of Santa Clarita will unveil the new “Art2Go” vending machine Thursday at the Art Walk in downtown Newhall.

The unique machine dispenses original pieces of art done by local artists to support arts education, according to the City of Santa Clarita. Art2Go proceeds will provide Santa Clarita Valley students high quality arts experiences. The site explains that 10 students will receive an arts experience for every piece of art sold.

“It’s basically an old-fashioned vending machine,” Arts and Events Supervisor Jeff Barber told The Santa Clarita Valley Signal. “You put in your $10 and then your art drops down into the tray and you pick it up.”

The machines will be located at various places and events in Santa Clarita throughout the year.
