Man In Critical Condition After Being Stabbed With Hunting Knives In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A man was in critical condition Wednesday after being stabbed with hunting knives in Hollywood, police said.

Officers found the victim, who was stabbed in the chest, in the 6500 block of Hollywood Boulevard, near Wilcox Avenue, around 2 a.m., police said.

Police say the victim was walking down Hollywood Boulevard with a few friends when he may have bumped shoulders with the suspect, who then pulled out two large hunting knives and stabbed him.

The victim, a man in his late 20s or early 30s, was stabbed as many as five times before he was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he underwent surgery, according to David Ferry of the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Station.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot with another man.

He was described as a white male, about 38 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, a black leather jacket, black boots, and dark pants, according to Ferry.

Hollywood Boulevard was closed between Hudson and Wilcox avenues as police conducted their investigation.
