Dodgers Trade Rumors

LOS ANGELES (CBS) – Late July means baseball trade rumors, and with new Dodgers ownership willing to add payroll, the Dodgers figure to be one of the most active teams as the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline looms.

Reportedly the Dodgers are heavily interested in acquiring a starting pitcher, left-handed reliever, a corner infielder and an outfielder.

Keep checking here for Dodgers rumors:

SP Ryan Dempster:

Our take: Dempster has made it clear he wants to be in Dodger blue, however, the Dodgers don't seem very tempted to give the Chicago Cubs too many prospects for a rental player.

SP Matt Garza:
  .

Our take: An arm injury has cooled interest in the other Cubs starter.

OF Shane Victorino: The Dodgers and Phillies have reportedly discussed bringing Victorino to LA.

Our take: Victorino would give the Dodgers a proven bat to place at the top of the lineup, but a lot of Dodger fans can't stand the guy, but I'm sure he would be welcomed as an upgrade to Bobby Abreu.

SP Cliff Lee:

Our take: The Phillies have said they will not trade Lee this season.

Other names: James Shields, Justin Morneau, Carl Crawford, Josh Willingham, Michael Cuddyer, Alfonso Soriano, Bryan LaHair, and Corey Hart.
