STUDIO CITY (CBS) — An LAPD bomb squad has identified a suspicious item left on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City as a laptop.

Officials were dispatched to the 12900 block of Ventura Boulevard, near Laurel Canyon, around 8:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The item was removed and deemed safe around 9:20 a.m., according to officials.

As they investigated the item, authorities kept traffic away from the area.

No evacuations were ordered.
