LOS ANGELES (CBS) –  Steve Nash and the Los Angeles Lakers will open their 2012-2013 season October 30th at the Staples Center against the Dallas Mavericks, followed by a road game in Portland on October 31st.

The Christmas lineup features some marquee matchups, including the Lakers and the New York Knicks at noon, Boston-Brooklyn, Houston- Chicago, Denver-Clippers and the Miami Heat battling the Oklahoma City Thunder.

On January 30th, Steve Nash will make his return to Phoenix to face the Suns.

Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic will visit the Staples Center to face the Lakers on December 2nd and the Lakers will see the new arena in Brooklyn on February 5th to face the Nets.
