$10K Reward Offered For 'Plain Jane' Bandit

 LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Officials from the U.S. Bank are now offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of "Plain Jane Bandit" who's suspected in a half-dozen bank robberies in Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties.

The bandit most recently struck Tuesday afternoon at a U.S. Bank branch in the 23800 block of Clinton Keith Road in Wildomar in Riverside County.

During Tuesday's robbery, the suspect was described as wearing a blue T-shirt and sunglasses.

"During the robberies, the suspect uses written and verbal demands and indicates that someone, possibly an accomplice, is waiting for her outside the bank," according Laura Eimiller of the FBI.

Once Plain Jane had received the cash, she abruptly left the bank. Deputies arrived shortly, but were unable to locate her, according to Sgt. Chad Loeffler of the Riverside County sheriff's.

Earlier on Tuesday, Plain Jane allegedly robbed another U.S. Bank at 5470 Beach Blvd. in Buena Park, according to the FBI.

On Monday, in Moreno Valley, the suspect robbed two Chase bank branches between 5:30 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. at 14425 Moreno Beach Blvd. and 12721 Moreno Beach Blvd., according to the FBI.

In the last two weeks, the woman is believed to have robbed banks in Santa Fe Springs and Whittier, bringing the total number of linked robberies to six.

Witnesses told authorities the suspect's appearance was described as a "plain Jane" and say she may have a scar below or next to her right eye, as well as a possible tattoo on her right shoulder.

The bandit is described as a Hispanic woman between 5'3" and 5'5", 150 to 170 pounds and between 35 and 40 years old.

She's possibly driving a four-door silver vehicle with a sunroof.
