ST. LOUIS (CBS) The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Hanley Ramirez late last night and is already in uniform ready to play third base and bat 5th in the lineup Wednesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.
“Being in this organization is an honor,” said Ramirez to KCAL 9. “I grew up watching this team from the Dominican [Republic] and now being part of it, I have to be proud of.”
Ramirez, 28, was the main man in Miami ever since Miguel Cabrera left the club in 2007 and was highly pressured to produce big numbers. Now, it will be “much easier,”when asked about hitting in the same line up with Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp.
