Police Searching For Missing UCLA Student

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police are looking for a UCLA student under doctor's care who has been missing since July 22.

David John Goeser, 22, was last seen by his roommates at about 10 a.m. on the 1000 block of Roebling Avenue, just west of UCLA in Westwood.

Family members hadn't heard from him for more than a week and went to his home to check on him.

Mark Goeser spoke to KNX 1070's Dick Helton about why he and his family are so worried about his son.

"He's struggled with some issues with depression last year. He up and left on Sunday morning and he left all his personal belongings behind, his driver's license, his credit cards and his cell phone," Goeser said. "So we're just praying and doing everything we can to reach out."

Goeser is 5'11 and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.

Wednesday evening Goeser's car, a 2001 white four-door Toyota Corolla with the California license plate 5XOA473, was found in Pacific Palisades.

Goeser may have a Washington state driver's license in his possession with the number GOESEDJ106L4.

Anyone with information should call the Los Angeles Police Department's missing persons unit at (213) 996-1800.
