1 Dead In Glassell Park House Fire
GLASSELL PARK (CBS) — A 33-year-old man died Tuesday in a house fire in Glassell Park.
The fire broke out around 1 a.m. in the 3800 block of Aguilar Street and quickly engulfed the 400-square-foot structure, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
It took 52 firefighters 20 minutes to extinguish the fire, according to officials.
A nearby home and shed were also damaged as a result.
The man "was found without vital signs of life, in the bathtub of the rear structure," fire officials said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the LAFD's arson unit and the Los Angeles Police Department.
The identity of the man was not released.
