LONG BEACH (CBS) —Three people were shot Saturday in a possible gang-related attack in Long Beach.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. at Cherry Avenue Park on Cherry Avenue and 45th Street.

Long Beach police spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said the group attacked was at a barbecue.

“The suspect approached and shot three individuals,” Pratt said.

Two men and one woman were hurt and taken to the hospital.

One person was said to be in serious condition, and the other two were reported to be stable.
