(CBS) — According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, the Los Angeles Lakers will sign power forward Antawn Jamison.
The 36-year-old averaged 17.2 points and 6.3 rebounds last season for the Cavaliers.
Despite the report in the Observer, Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak told ESPNLosAngeles.com “We’re not about to do anything,” Kupchak said. “I would know.”
Jamison played one season under current Lakers coach Mike Brown in Cleveland and is expected to add some depth to the bench.
Yahoo! Sports is reporting the Lakers will workout Jermaine O’Neal on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
