LOS ANGELES (AP) — A police chase of a woman suspected of firing gunshots during an argument in Hollywood has ended with the woman shooting herself.

Los Angeles Police Sgt. Sal Ogaz said the woman was taken to a hospital early Sunday in grave condition.

He said officers tried to pull her over after receiving reports that a black car had left the scene of the shooting. Ogaz said she refused to stop and led officers on a chase across Hollywood and over the Hollywood Hills.

The pursuit ended abruptly when she pulled in a garage. Ogaz said that when officers approached the vehicle, they saw the woman had shot herself.

Ogaz said no one was hurt in the shooting in Hollywood.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
