LOS ANGELES (CBS) — TMZ is reporting that Sage Stallone, son of actor Sylvester Stallone, might have been dead for several days — perhaps as long as a week — inside his Hollywood Hills home.

Sage Stallone was 36.

The celebrity website said Stallone was something of a recluse and it was not unusual for friends and family to go days without hearing from him.

They reported his body was surrounded by empty beer and soda cans and there were lots of cigarette butts in the home as well.

The coroner did not confirm those reports or a report that the deceased also had two drawers filled with pill bottles.

The coroner placed a security hold on the case and has released no information other than to say the body was discovered by Stallone’s housekeeper.

An autopsy is scheduled.

Officials do not suspect foul play.

Stallone appeared alongside his dad in “Rocky V” and “Daylight.” In his later years, the younger Stallone worked behind the scenes as a writer, producer and director of many short films.

Funeral plans are being made.
