LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A car crashed into a fire hydrant late Wednesday in South Los Angeles.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. at 46 Street and Avalon Boulevard, officials said.
An 18-year-old driver in a Toyota lost control of the car at the intersection and sheered off the top of the hydrant, flooding the street.
The teen reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in the crash, according to police.
The teen was not seriously hurt and was cited for driving without a license.
