Choir Teacher, 39, Accused Of Kissing Student In Parked Car

STANTON (CBS) — A 39-year-old Magnolia High School choir teacher was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of molesting a former student she allegedly kissed while in a parked car in Stanton.

Judy Lee of Brea was arrested about 11:45 a.m. when Orange County sheriff's deputies on routine patrol saw Lee and the boy kissing in a car parked at Beach Boulevard and Starr Street, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Police were patrolling a street that is known for prostitution trafficking, according to CBS2 and KCAL9 reporter Stacey Butler.

The boy's age was not released, Amormino said. He was one of Lee's students and recently graduated from the Anaheim high school, Amormino said. The boy is only described as "under 18," according to Butler.

Sheriff's investigators suspect Lee has engaged in "sexual misconduct" with the boy, sometimes on campus, since November of last year, Amormino said.

"There is a possibility there are additional victims," Amormino said.

Inside Lee's car, Butler reports, police found a child's car seat, educational materials and a music CD on the front console.

Butler spoke with Lee's neighbors who could not believe the allegations.

On the website "Rate My Teaching" two recent posts tell the tale of two different opinions. One student wrote, "I hated this class. Mrs. Lee was mean and played favorites with people who sucked up to her." Another wrote, "My favorite" and added a heart logo.

Anyone with information was asked to call (855) TIP-OCCS.
