FULLERTON (CBS) — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a bicyclist Wednesday in Fullerton.
The accident at Morelia Avenue at Bastanchury Road occurred about 10:20 a.m, according to Fullerton Police Sgt. Jeff Stuart.
The victim was first hit by the hit-and-run driver in a black, compact vehicle, last seen traveling eastbound on Bastanchury Road, Stuart said. He was hit a second time by another driver who stopped to help.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was transported to a local hospital where he later died, police said.
Authorities said the injured man had a bicycle with him, but it was unclear if he was on it or walking with it when he was struck.
If you have any information about the incident, you are urged to contact the Fullerton Police Department.
