PASADENA (CBS) — The third bear sighting in three days was reported in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley on Wednesday.
KNX 1070′s Ed Mertz reports some residents were skeptical of the latest sighting.
Police received a call around 10:30 a.m. after an electrician walking in the 400 block of Patrician Way of Pasadena, just west of the Rose Bowl.
Animal control officials responded to the scene, but no bear was immediately sighted in the area.
The report comes two days after a mother bear and her cubs were seen visiting two separate residences in Duarte and Bradbury, about 11 miles east of the reported location of Wednesday’s sighting.
Animal control officials advised residents to keep animals inside as temperatures heat up and cause bears to often look for food in residential areas.
