LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A $50,000 reward will be offered Tuesday in an effort to find the suspects responsible for the murder of a 42-year-old Westmont man.
Steven Kelly was fatally shot around 9 p.m. on July 10, 2010, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.
Kelly was walking in the 1700 block of East 109th Place when he was approached by two suspects driving a dark-colored compact car, Det. Sal Labarbera said.
“Both suspects got out of their vehicle and one allegedly shot Kelly in the upper torso,” said Labarbera.
Kelly was pronounced dead on the scene. He was killed just two blocks from his home.
Authorities believe his murder may have been gang related.
Anyone with any information about the shooting should contact Det. Labarbera at (213) 485-4341.
