HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — The man behind the successful Batman trilogy has been immortalized at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Director, writer and producer Christopher Nolan placed his hands and feet in cement at the famous landmark on Saturday.
“I came here as a tourist and I remember very clearly taking photographs of where people had written their names and put their hands and feet and I can say in all honesty it never for one instant occurred to me that I might actually be here doing that myself,” he said.
Nolan was surrounded by the stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
The first two films — “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight” — have already earned a billion dollars worldwide.
“The Dark Knight Rises” comes out in less than two weeks.
