1 Dead, 1 Injured In Crash On The 170 Freeway
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One person was killed and another was injured in a crash on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in the Valley Glen area, a city fire official said.
The fatal crash was reported at 6:37 p.m. on the southbound 170 at Victory Boulevard, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One of the three vehicles involved in the collision caught fire, Scott said.
The person who died was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
A second person sustained unspecified injuries and was in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
