ANAHEIM (CBS) —  Authorities are on the hunt for a stabbing suspect who attacked a man and a woman in Anaheim Saturday.

The stabbing occurred just before 4 p.m. in the 800 block of South Beach Boulevard, according to Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department.

“There was a male and a female victim, both adults,” Dunn said. “Both were taken to a local trauma center.”

Dunn said the victims were expected to survive their wounds.

The incident occurred at the Covered Wagon Motel on South Beach Boulevard.

Police say some type of altercation between the two men escalated when the woman tried to intervene.

The male suspect remained at large, Dunn said.
