LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles police say they have arrested two men suspected in a series of burglaries at businesses in Koreatown.
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Byung Ho Son and 18-year-old Jung Hwan Park, both of Los Angeles, were booked on suspicion of burglary on Thursday.
Officers responding to a burglar alarm about 5:30 a.m. say they saw the men breaking into a building in the 200 block of South Oxford Avenue near Second Street.
Both men were initially held in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.
Park has since been released after posting bail.
Sheriff’s online booking records showed that Son was being held without bail due to an unspecified immigration enforcement issue, City News Service reported.
Detectives say the men were suspected of additional burglaries in the area.
Anyone who may have been victimized was asked to contact authorities at (213) 382-9440.
