INGLEWOOD (CBS) — A 50-year-old pastor at a church in Inglewood has been charged with nine felony sex-related counts involving a 14-year-old girl, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said.

Gordon Solomon met the victim through his involvement with the Christ’s Community Church, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott of the Special Victims Bureau.

Over the past two years, Solomon developed a relationship with the girl and the two exchanged emails and texts of a sexual nature and met at various locations, Scott said.

The girl’s mother contacted authorities after she found an explicit text Solomon sent to the girl, Scott said.

Solomon was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of committing felony lewd acts upon a child, Scott said. He was being held at the South Los Angeles Station on $3 million bail.

Authorities believe there may be additional victims.

Solomon is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
