STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The marine layer has made it into the valleys Tuesday morning, so look for a mild day across the Southland.
Daytime highs will be running a few degrees below normal. We will clear things out for hazy sunshine in the afternoon. Look for the same pattern for tomorrow with clouds in the morning and hazy afternoon sun.
By the end of the week, the ridge of high pressure that is dominating the middle of the nation will slide to the west. This will bring warmer weather, especially to inland cities. Even the basin will rise to average if not just a little above average levels.
We stay warm into next week as the high pressure remains parked. We are watching the monsoonal flow carefully, as it looks like it may start drifting into our neck of the woods. That would translate into higher humidity and the possibility of a mountain or desert thunderstorm.
Beaches -low to mid 70s
Basin – upper 70s
Valleys – upper 80s to low 90s
Deserts – low 90s
Mountains -mid 70s
