PALMDALE (CBS) — A 250 acre brush fire in burning in Palmdale was contained over night.
The fire started shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday near Elizabeth Lake Road and City Ranch Road on the southwest side of the city, according to Capt. Mark Savage of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
KNX 1070′s Brian Ping reports at least one structure was threatened as the blaze grew up to 200 acres as it moved northwest in light grass away from homes.
One structure was voluntarily evacuated, fire officials said.
At least 300 firefighters were on scene. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
