Street Sign To Commemorate Granada Hill Charter HS Academic Decathlon Champions

GRANADA HILLS (CBS) — The back-to-back national Academic Decathlon champions from Granada Hills Charter High School will receive a special honor Monday morning. A section of Zelzah Avenue in front of the school will be dedicated in their honor.

Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch Englander will once again designate Zelzah Avenue, between Kingsbury and San Jose streets, as the home of the national champions at 11 a.m.

The nine-member team won the title in Albuquerque in April and set the record with the highest point total in the competitions 31-year history.
