Man, 22, Accused Of Kidnapping Pregnant Woman From Pico Rivera Panda Express

MONTEBELLO (CBS) — A 22-year-old Pico Rivera man was arrested for suspicion of kidnapping Wednesday when police saw him with a pregnant woman he allegedly took by force from a Panda Express in Montebello.

Christian Javier Caicedo-Paredez had forced the woman to leave a Panda Express restaurant through a back door, Montebello Police Department Lt. Luis Lopez said. He initially reached for her over the counter and then was seen forcing her into a 2010 Toyota Corolla, Lopez said.

Caicedo-Paredez and the woman were located near his residence, Lopez said. Detectives were trying to determine their relationship.

Caicedo-Paredez was arrested by Montebello police detectives about 3:30 p.m. in Pico Rivera. The woman was unharmed.

Caicedo-Paredez will be held at the Montebello City Jail until his court appearance.
