DIAMOND BAR, Calif. – Down the road, the UCLA football team may be “rapping” opponents not only with hard hits but also with great musical talent.
The Bruins already have signed cornerback Justin Combs (5-9, 175), son of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. He was a standout defender at Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.).
This weekend they offered a scholarship to another defensive back, Cordell Broadus, son of rapper Snoop Dogg Broadus is entering his sophomore year at Diamond Bar (Calif.). It was the first scholarship offer for the 6-foot-2, 185-pounder, who was a wide receiver and defensive back last fall for the freshman team.
Diamond Bar coach Ryan Maine said he expects Broadus to be a great leader for the next three years.
