HERMOSA BEACH (CBS) — A rally was held Monday morning at Pier Plaza in Hermosa Beach to honor the Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.
The Stanley Cup was driven onto Pier Avenue by the Hermosa Beach Fire Department at 11 a.m. The rally began in the plaza starting around 11:15 a.m.
The Hermosa Beach City Council and Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce made presentations to Kings center Jarret Stoll to congratulate the team on the first Stanley Cup championship of its 45-season history.
The Stanley Cup was on display on a stage during the ceremony.
