ORANGE (CBS) — Authorities Saturday were investigating the circumstances surrounding an officer-involved shooting that left a woman wounded.

The incident at Sycamore and Spruce began about 2:30 a.m.

In a statement released, police said a caller dialed 911 to report that she had seen a female motorist inside a pickup truck allegedly armed with a gun.

Officers arrived on scene shortly thereafter and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

No further details were immediately released.

The woman was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

She has been listed in stable condition.
