SOUTH GATE (CBS) — Police are looking for a man they say tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into his SUV.
The man tried to abduct the girl Monday afternoon at Southern and San Juan avenues, South Gate police Lt. Darren Arakawa said.
The man pulled up alongside the girl as she walked, and yelled to her in Spanish, “Get in the car. I need to talk to you about something,” Arakawa said. The girl, who said she had never seen the man or the vehicle before, ran home.
The man was described as Hispanic, in his mid-40s, with brown hair and brown eyes, a mustache and a “soul patch” beneath his lower lip. He drove a white GMC sport utility vehicle with tinted windows.
